Brief Details About Men’s ICC T20 World Cup 2020

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to start from 18th October while the final will be played on 15th November in Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). 12 teams will battle it out for the ultimate prize in 20 over’s cricket. While 8 nations, including host nation Australia, have already confirmed their berths in the final rounds, there will be a qualifying round played to decide the last four nations. 

Bangladesh and Srilanka have reached the final qualifying round by virtue of ICC T20 rankings. They will be joined by Ireland, Oman, Papua New Guinea, Netherlands, Namibia, and Scotland in the final round of the qualifier. After an intense battle, four teams will join in the final rounds with the top 8 ranked team. 

The whole tournament will take place in seven Australian cities. Hobert and Geelong will host the final qualifier and Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide will host the final rounds. The two semi-final matches are scheduled in Sydney and Adelaide. The final will be played in MCG. 

T20 Ticket Prices 2020

Cricket Australia already reveals the prices of t20 tickets for every match. All the super 12 matches including final qualifying round’s matches will be sold for 5 AUD for children while 75% of these matches will have adult ticketing price of 20 AUD.

Prices increase in the business end of the tournament that is the knockout stage. Tickets for the first semi-final in Adelaide are priced at 40 AUD for adults and 10 AUD for children. The second semi-final in Sydney will have even higher-priced tickets at 90 AUD for adults and 20 AUD for children. 

Tickets for the final of the T20 World Cup in Melbourne are being sold at a minimum rate of 125 AUD for adults and 20 AUD for children. The best seats will cost a whopping 395 AUD.
